A photo as lovely and wistful as the play it represents. Bruce Monk has captured the magic of MTC's Glass Menagerie, right down to actor Ryan James Miller's expression. Menagerie is one of those plays where the narrator - such an irritating conceit in other plays - provides the moody melody of the entire work. And here - with costume, stance, and lighting (the chiaroscuro making everything seem hauntingly realistic even as it stays true to the chimeric qualities of the play) you have many of Tennessee William's intentions in a nutshell.
