Before there was Rent, there was Jonathan Larson's lesser-known Tick Tick Boom, and photographer Vincent Perri has captured the same raw energy of the former in this pic for the Angelwalk production of the latter. Perri has allowed the sea of darkness around actors Laura Mae Nason and Ken Chamberland; the illumination from the cake on them and the metal staircase suggests the intimacy that is the hallmark of the composer/writer's work.
