There is something about the gentle trangressivism of the works of Atomic Vaudeville that lends itself to great pictures. We saw it with Ride the Cyclone and with this photo for the revival of Legoland, now playing in Toronto. More importantly, photographer Barbara Pedrick - who has shot both works - gets the aesthetic and theatrical purpose of the company. In this photo of Amitai Marmorstein and Celine Stubel, the straight-ahead stare of the actors, coupled with the slightly skewed set-piece in the rear says very much indeed.
