It is a work that is popping a little bit everywhere in the next months, but this week Arts Club is taking a whack at the acclaimed Lynn Nottage piece, Intimate Apparel, about a seamstress in 1905 New York and her dreams of someday wearing one of the bridal corsets herself. (Vancouver)

GCTC is offering it's intriguingly titled festival Undercurrents (Theatre Below The Mainstream). It's six cutting-edge plays performed in rep from February 7-19 including Carmen Aguirre's Blue Box which you can read about in Joel Fishbane's column. (Ottawa)

Neptune's Communion is not a true story about alien abduction (à la Whitley Streiber) but rather a play by the ubiquitous Daniel MacIvor about a mother, daughter and therapist looking for connexion. (Halifax)
