Vancouver Playhouse, one of the most important companies in the country, is closing its doors after final performances of Catalyst Theatre's Hunchback this weekend, reports the Vancouver Sun in a story by Neal Hall which appeared minutes ago.
The Playhouse will not even complete its season which was to include an upcoming production of God of Carnage a coproduction with MTC, which - coincedentally - announced its new season today. No news about how this will affect MTC.
