Governor General's Award-winner Joan Macleod (Amigo's Blue Guitar) has scored another award and it is the big one: The Elinore and Lou Siminovitch. The award - a whopping $100,000 - is given annually to theatre artists (alternating among directors, playwrights and designers). The prize-winner is asked to name a protegé(e) who will receive $25,000 of the prize. MacLeod named Anusree Roy (playwright of Brothel #9 among other works).
