The SummerWorks Festival, in Toronto, announced today the appointment of a new general manager. Lucy Everleigh will now manage the organization which, in the last two years, has seen controversy about its programming and been at the heart of a national discussion on censorship (when the federal government slashed its funding after the festival received the Catherine Frid's play Homegrown).
Everleigh, born in England, has worked at Canadian Stage and TAPA (formerly the Toronto Theatre Alliance).
