With a refrain we may be hearing during other season launches this spring, The Grand Theatre announced that the Soulpepper hit, Kim's Convenience, will be part of it's next season as the Ins Choi work pursues a tour across the country.

However, before the production reaches the house in January, the company will be presenting Tim Firth's Calendar Girls (the true story of women of a certain age raising money by posing nude) and a musical version of the Santa Claus movie, Miracle on 34th Street. The company follows Kim's with Yankee Tavern by Kim Dietz, Mom's the Word-For Crying Out Loud (a continuation of the popular Mom's The Word franchise about the lots of mothers), and Dance Legends, a musical show conceived by Alex Mustakas.

The Grand's high school project (in which local highschoolers perform), in September '12, will be My Fair Lady. (GLC)
